So, Apple just launched their new MacBook Pros in late October, largely to raving reviews. Users really like, dare I say, LOVE their new machines in all aspects like design, build quality, performance, display quality, and more. Many (including me) say they’re overall the best laptops currently on the market.
With that said, it’s Apple we’re talking about, and it’s well-known that it has its “haters” (using the word loosely here). And, as the hype is settling down, we can see more and more issues and complaints surface regarding new machines. Some are legitimate, but most are just spreading fear and BS.
Over the last few days, I’ve seen tons of posts, threads, and comments saying you shouldn’t get a new MBP. Because it can’t game; Intel 12th Gen made M1 Max obsolete; the battery is not so good; storage is smaller than on paper; there’s blooming, and the list goes on. I’ve also seen a few people declaring that they’re leaving the Apple ecosystem due to bugs and issues with recent updates.
All this negativity, tendency to draw quick, subjective conclusions, and the general spread of BS make me… sad. But more importantly — it can mislead other customers who are currently making an important decision of choosing their next work machine.
